Heidi Dahlsveen - Norway
Heidi Dahlsveen is this years’ International artist. She has told stories across Scandinavia, and in Poland, Holland, Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Canada, USA, Wales, London and was previously at the Scottish International Storytelling Festival in Edinburgh in 2012. She is an energetic storyteller who likes to make sure there are links with today to the stories of the past that she tells. She's grounded in tradition, entertaining and very knowledgeable about Norwegian folktale collector Peter Christen Asbjornsen. Traditional stories from across the North Sea, tales, sagas, with occasional trolls and other mysterious creatures, have never been so lively or so droll!
Heidi Dahlsveen has been working as a professional storyteller in Norway and internationally since 1996. In addition to telling, Heidi is employed as an associate professor in storytelling at OsloMet.
